Bristol Media Vision 2011

Comments Off Events, News

Spent a thought provoking and insightful two days at this year’s Vision event, organised by the good folks at Bristol Media on 23rd and 24th November at the Arnolfini. A great line up of speakers and organisations from the world of advertising, digital production, television production and a host of creative businesses and support networks for fledgling entrepreneurial companies.  It’s summed up well here.

So much to absorb in the sessions, my head was bursting by the end of it but lots to take away and prepare for.  The talk of the town is the continued blurring edges of television and online content, merging more than ever before and I do see a future where no production is commissioned without fully thought out and planned additional web and media platforms as a package.

Also we are at the dawn of Connected TV becoming more a part of our lives and TV watching experience… look out next year for the next generation of boxes integrating broadcast schedules with online content… the changes are sweeping in fast, it should mean many more opportunities to collaborate and engage with the audience, but 2012 is looking to be a big year for multi-platform programme making, taking things to the next level.

Thank you Caroline Marshall and the team at Bristol Media for making it happen!
